Hello friends,
This will be the final blog post you’ll receive from me via WordPress—but don’t worry, I’m not going anywhere, and neither is the Steve Shipley Author website. In fact, it’s just undergone a major upgrade! You’ll still find everything there: details about my books, behind-the-scenes insights, reader rewards, giveaways, and more. It’s your one-stop resource, and I’ll continue updating it with fresh content and features.

What’s changing is how I share my blog posts and newsletters. Over the next few days, I’ll be migrating all email subscribers from this WordPress blog to my new Substack publication. You don’t need to do anything—your subscription will carry over automatically, and you’ll start receiving new posts from me just as you always have.
🧠Why the Move?
Substack offers a cleaner reading experience, better email delivery, and more flexibility for me to share ideas, updates, and creative work with you. It’s designed for writers and readers alike, and I’m excited about the possibilities it opens up.
On Substack, you’ll be able to:
- Join conversations in the comments
- Message me directly
- Take part in reader polls and discussions
- Enjoy a clean, ad-free reading experience
It’s dynamic, engaging, and built for interaction—but if you prefer to read quietly via email, that’s perfectly fine too.

✅ What You Can Expect
- You’ll continue receiving my posts directly in your inbox.
- You’ll have access to all previous blog entries—already migrated to Substack.
- You’ll be able to comment, share, and explore future content more easily.
- There’s nothing you need to do—no new sign-up, no password, no hassle.
📱 Want to Explore More?
If you’re happy receiving posts by email, you’re all set. But if you’d like to dive deeper, I highly recommend checking out the Substack app, available for your browser, smartphone, or tablet.
It’s a fantastic way to interact more fully — you can comment, reply, and even discover other writers and topics that interest you. Substack is a vibrant platform for serious engagement, far more thoughtful and rewarding than the noise of Facebook, X, or the rest.

So, I’m not saying “goodbye,” but “hello” from a more friendlier platform. Your next blog post will be coming from there—sometime next week.
Regards, Steve
